This position manages both Patea LibraryPlus and Waverley LibraryPlus and is part of the district wide libraries network. They provide an integrated one stop shop for library, council services and tourist information for the two townships and surrounding area. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person with good management skills and plenty of initiative to join the team at the South Taranaki District LibraryPlus.The position would suit a proven team leader who has experience in varied library procedures, administration management, staff supervision, computerised systems and information technology. A University Degree or Diploma in Library and Information Studies and RLIANZA is desirable.This varied role includes administration management, staff leadership, customer service and working with computerised systems. About the RoleAfter spending time within the service industry or involved in adult education and workshop facilitation, you may be looking for a great opportunity to shift gears.This role will focus heavily on two key areas - firstly facilitating our Assessor Workshops, so you'll be at ease presenting to adult learners and trainers in an engaging, professional, and diplomatic way.Secondly, you'll conduct paper based assessments or marking in accordance with set criteria. These could be across any of our sectors, and between generic levels 2-5, including level 3-4 business qualifications. Your attention to detail, core knowledge and understanding of our exciting service industry sectors will be extremely useful here. Similarly, your ability to provide constructive feedback to adult learners to keep them actively engaged is essential.You'll be familiar with a broad range of assessment techniques, and ideally understand NZQA processes, that will allow you to continue to deliver on the team's excellent assessment practices.To be considered for this role you'll be a confident, personable, and professional presenter. You'll be able to think on your feet, represent ServiceIQ well, and be highly organised. You must hold a current NZQA 4098-unit standard.As this role is based in Auckland but works with a wider team in Wellington, you'll be a self-motivated individual, who can communicate effectively and have a desire to achieve results.
