Registered Nurse - Cambridge - Night Shifts

Be part of an organisation that puts the needs of the people who live in our care homes first. We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our recently built care suits.
The new care suites is home to 24 residents in two 'households' at Selwyn St Andrews located in Cambridge, Waikato. Each household functions just like a home, with its own living room and open plan kitchen and large balcony for relaxing. Whanau and friends are not only able to visit, but can help to care for their loved ones by using the household kitchen to prepare a meal and stay overnight in a guest room for example, therefore creating a warm and dynamic environment for a nurse to work within.
You will work as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team to provide the highest quality care to our residents by developing individualised holistic care plans as the primary nurse for allocated residents, in partnership with the resident, care partners and others as per the resident's wishes.
Our villages operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so flexibility is essential.
The hours for the permanent role are Wednesday to Saturday (2245-0715), leaving you with lots of time for other endeavors, including taking on additional shifts through us as available, or continuing to remain with the Foundation on a casual basis through our Bureau.
To be successful you must be passionate about making a difference in the lives of Elders, love to help others and have proven leadership abilities. Other requirements include:
- Legal rights to live and work in New Zealand
- New Zealand registered nurse with current APC
- Proven nursing experience in an aged care environment
- Sound clinical knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others
- IT Skills (intermediate)
