Library Assistant and Library Coordinator
Waitaki District Council
Library Assistant Interloans and Large Print Support
Large Print and Audio Visual Services Coordinator
Part time positions 20 -24 hours per week
Do you want to be part of a friendly, committed, and passionate team that has built up an impeccable reputation in the community?
We have two part-time roles available to support the work of the fantastic high performing and fun Waitaki District Libraries team.
The Library Assistant Interloans and Large Print Support leads the interloans work requested by other NZ Libraries using the National Library Te Puna database. The Large Print and Audio Visual Services Coordinator maintains collections responsibility for large print, audio visual and e-audio material. A key aspect of the role is providing support to the Front of House Supervisor and providing guidance and training to the wonderful library volunteers.
For both roles, we need your sparkling customer service skills that add value to our customers' experience of the library. Rostered Saturday duty is required, along with the possibility of some evening work.
Full in-house training will be given to the successful applicants.
We would prefer candidates with Library experience, especially in the areas as specified in the Position Descriptions. Digital literacy, confidence and self-awareness are essential pre-requisites for these positions.
