Clinical Services Coordinator / Clinical Nurse Specialist
Southern Cross Healthcare Limited
We are currently seeking a Clinical Services Coordinator / Clinical Nurse Specialist, hours negotiable.
Southern Cross Healthcare is New Zealand's largest independent healthcare network; made up of our wholly-owned hospitals and joint venture partnerships in hospitals, surgical centres, and community-based physiotherapy, rehabilitation, workplace wellness and mental health providers.
Our purpose at Southern Cross is to advance the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders; brought to life by a progressive and inclusive workplace culture focused on providing the best care.
We support the health and wellbeing of over 100,000 New Zealanders annually, employ over 2500 people, and partner with over 1000 clinical specialists.
We need the best people to deliver the best care.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a ‘can-do' attitude to coordinate and support the delivery of clinical services offered through our specialist procedure room and clinics. You would be joining an experienced team of clinical and administration staff who take pride in providing a high-quality outpatient service.
About the role:
This is a newly-created position, reporting to the manager of the Specialist Centre, Wellington. It requires both attention to detail and an ability to see the big picture, working both independently and as part of our team. We provide a Monday-Friday service, and are willing to negotiate hours and role specifics with the right applicant.
As a guide we expect the coordinator role to include both working directly alongside specialists and staff during procedures, as well as coordinating resources and staff to ensure the smooth-running of our facility. If a CNS role is appointed they would be an expert clinical resource and educator for staff, and have the clinical experience to independently coordinate and manage our developing outpatient services.
To be a part of the team you will need:
- To be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate
- Have extensive post-graduate experience
- Have or be willing to work towards post-graduate certification, or equivalent
- Clinical experience in patient sedation, endoscopy, gynaecology, urology or general surgical procedures would be an advantage, and digital competency is mandatory.
What we can offer you:
- Competitive remuneration packages
- Subsidised health insurance
- Christmas and New Year breaks
- NZ Council approved PDRP
