Fitter Turner/Technician

Technopak

  • The 'Porsche' of workshops - enjoy high end projects, clean workspace and bespoke machinery
  • Innovative Kiwi owned and operated business
  • Excellent salary package

Technopak prides itself on being one step ahead in the innovation, design and manufacture of food grade packing equipment. We operate from our Auckland office but have a global footprint with the majority of our products being exported to the USA and Europe as well as Asia, Australia and locally across NZ. We cover all aspects of a project from concept development, mechanical design, electrical/control systems design to installation and commissioning.

It's time to do the work you enjoy for an industry frontrunner...

As our newest Fitter Turner/Technician, you will be working with high end, high tech machinery, producing manufactured items to the highest quality level. You will have a passion for assembling intricate machinery and enjoy following these through to installation and commissioning. Whilst mainly based at our East Tamaki location, some travel around NZ to install and maintain equipment is required. We run a finely tuned process with all projects being managed by a project manager and overseen on a daily basis by the Workshop Supervisor. So whilst you will be working independently, a team focus is critical.

We are looking for a person with:

  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • Accurate machining skills using fully manual lathes, mills etc.
  • Welding and purged stainless fabrication an advantage
  • Pneumatic experience an advantage but training is available
  • An excellent understanding of drawings and 3D modelling
  • A safe approach to engineering and manufacturing processes

You love to do your own thing, to be autonomous, to have the ability to really take ownership of a role. To get down, get on with it and come up with the goods.

If you'd like to work with cutting edge design and a team of highly skilled individuals who always find a way to be innovative and solve problems, we'd love to hear from you.
