At Hospice West Auckland, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional specialist palliative care services to our patients and their families and caregivers. The Support Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in the smooth functioning of our organisation by providing comprehensive administration and operations support to our team and patients.

The Opportunity

This par time (24 to 32 hour per week) role in our Support Services team demands meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills to facilitate seamless operations across various facets of our organisation. Whether it is ensuring adequate supplies for daily operations, providing administrative assistance to our clinical teams, coordinating vehicle logistics, or managing equipment maintenance, the Support Services Coordinator serves as an essential in our organisational infrastructure.

The Support Services Coordinator is primarily responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive administration and customer service support across both clinical and general operations to our service delivery teams and patients
  • Overseeing the purchase, organisation and distribution of clinical supplies, equipment and general supplies as needed to support daily operations
  • Coordinating the distribution, maintenance and repair of organisational equipment, ensuring all HWA teams have appropriate, fully functional and serviced equipment to complete their work efficiently
  • Coordinating the scheduling, maintenance and any logistical matters in regard to our fleet vehicles

About You

You will be a strong communicator, an efficient administrator and highly proficient with technology. You will also be confident communicating and collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure all our teams are able to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in the health sector, preferred in Palliative Care
  • High computer literacy and proficient in the Microsoft office suites
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of customer service
  • High levels of confidentiality and discretion
  • Highly organised and detail orientated
  • A clean full NZ driver's licence to visit our various West Auckland work sites as required
