Senior Three Waters Design Engineer

(Permanent Full-Time)

Our friendly Engineering Services team are seeking a Senior Three Waters Design Engineer for a permanent full-time role.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Investigation, planning and designing water, wastewater, stormwater and roading infrastructure projects.(typically up to $4M project value).
  • Providing oversight, coaching and support for all projects ensuring they are managed in accordance with standard ICC procedures and policies.
  • Monitoring the status of all deliverables to ensure compliance with resource consents and levels of service as reported in the Annual Plan, Council policies and bylaws.
  • Providing contract management leadership, Engineer to Contract responsibility, and mentoring where required to members of the Engineering Services team.
  • Actively working with contractors to implement robust risk management practices to prevent risks to health, safety and the environment, Ensuring regular contract audits and reviews are undertaken to monitor compliance, including health and safety audits.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Project management certificate (e.g. PMP) or equivalent
  • Preferably have 10 years' experience with work related to civil engineering, relating to wastewater, stormwater, and potable water infrastructure construction management
  • Contract management experience utilising NZS3910 or equivalent
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience within the New Zealand market and local government authorities

This is a permanent full-time position with an indicative salary range of $100,212 - $129,687 gross per annum dependent on skills and experience.
